Momentum Multiply

Momentum Multiply lockdown level 3 update

Did you know, since lockdown began on 27 March, our members have earned over 500 000 Active Dayz™? We’re so proud of all of you. This shows a commitment to staying active and being healthy – which is what being a Multiply member is all about.

Keep the momentum!

Your physical and mental health is important, especially during times of isolation and social anxiety. From 1 June, we will allocate your earned Active Dayz for 10 000 steps, 300 calories or online gym sessions. We will not be allocating your average Active Dayz based on past gym visits or Parkruns for June.

Make sure your fitness device or app is linked to your Multiply profile by clicking here. Don’t have a fitness device? Get one at a great discount on the Multiply online shop!

You can also download the FitVault app to track steps or the Strava app to log jogging, walking or cycling. Both apps are free and all you need is your mobile phone.

If you miss the gym…

If you’re a member of Virgin ActivePlanet Fitness or Curves, you can also register and participate in their online workouts. You will automatically get an active day for completing any session that’s at least 30 minutes. Contact your gym for more information on these online workouts. If you have a fitness device, don’t forget to wear it during the session so your progress can be tracked.

That’s it for now. We’ll keep you informed if anything changes. And remember, if you’re heading outdoors to exercise, always practise physical distancing, wear a mask and stay safe.

Momentum Multiply Lockdown Update

Level 4 lockdown has brought changes to the way we can get active. The good news is that more outdoor activity is allowed, which helps both your physical and mental wellbeing. Let’s talk about how your Active Dayz™ are now affected.

If you usually earn Active Dayz by logging 10 000 steps or 300 calories on your fitness device:
* Restricted physical activity is now allowed within your neighbourhood in a 5km radius.
* You can earn your Active Dayz by jogging, walking, cycling or exercising at home.

If you usually earn Active Dayz by going to the gym or completing Parkruns:
* Since gyms and Parkruns are still closed, we will top up your Active Dayz for May so you
get at least as many Active Dayz as the average Active Dayz you earned based on gym
visits and Parkruns in the three-month period from December 2019 to February 2020.
* The adjustment will be up to a maximum of your average Active Dayz in the three-
month period from December 2019 to February 2020 and will be made at the beginning
of June.

In both cases, we encourage you to get moving and stay active. Find what works best for you to log your physical activity and earn Active Dayz as we navigate through the levels of lockdown. If you’re heading outdoors, always follow the safety guidelines, practise physical distancing and wear a mask.

Make sure your fitness device or app is linked to your Multiply profile by clicking here. If you don’t have a device, you can download the FitVault app to track steps or the Strava app to log jogging, walking or cycling. Both apps are free and all you need is your mobile phone.

Stay safe!

Momentum Multiply Updates

Following the recent developments with COVID-19, social distancing and the nationwide lockdown, we recognise the effect it will have on our members’ ability to earn rewards.

The following are affected: Members going to the gym or doing Parkruns for Active Dayz, gym membership fees for Save as you Gym members and Members’ Healthy Heart Scores or fitness assessment results expiring during this period.

Here is how we can help:

What happens to your Active Dayz?
We’ll work out your average gym visits, Parkruns and total Active Dayz for the previous three months.
Scenario 1

If you have no Active Dayz, we’ll give you your average gym visits and Parkruns from the previous three months.
Scenario 2

If you have some Active Dayz based on steps and calories, but this is less than your average, we’ll make up the difference to get you to the average from the previous three months.
Scenario 3

If you have some Active Dayz based on steps and calories, but this is more than your average, we’ll give you your actual number of Active Dayz.
What happens to your Save as you Gym fees?

We’ll use the average discount over the past three months to calculate your fee for March and April.

What happens if your Healthy Heart Score or fitness assessment result expires in March or April?

We’ll extend the expiry date of the result to the end of April 2020. Your points will only be allocated once it’s safe for you to go for another assessment and we receive the results. We will only allocate your points once you do another health or fitness assessment and we receive the results.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.

Momentum Irene
